A Female Journalist in Kolkata was Attacked, Sparking Widespread Condemnation and Calls for Justice.
Kolkata. The West Bengal chapter of the Press Club of Working Journalists strongly condemned the assault and molestation of a 23-year-old female journalist by a group of drunken youths inside the metro station at Kolkata's Sodpur railway station on Thursday night, Vijayadashami.
In a joint press release, the organization's National Organization General Secretary Dr Shashi Dip Mumbai unequivocally condemned this inhumane incident and drew the attention of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to the incident, demanding severe action against the culprits. They also demanded severe measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
